TWO IBERDROLA USA COMPANIES AMONG NATION’S MOST TRUST UTILITIES

Central Maine Power and Rochester Gas and Electric earn high marks for trust, engagement and operational excellence in recent national brand study.
New Gloucester, Maine – Central Maine Power (CMP) and Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E), two Iberdrola USA-owned utilities, were ranked among the most trusted utility brands in the nation according to a recent study conducted by Cogent Reports.

“We are gratified to know that our customers believe in us,” said Bob Kump, CEO of Iberdrola USA Networks. “Our people are committed to excellence and they work hard every day to provide safe and reliable service to our customers. By delivering on that promise year after year, we’ve earned the trust of our customers, and we’ll continue to work hard to keep it.”

Cogent Reports released a list of the 52 utilities categorized as the most trusted brands in each of 12 regional and industry segments. RG&E ranked fourth in the eastern U.S. in the combined (electricity and natural gas) category, while CMP ranked as the East’s third most-trusted electric utility brand.

The web-based survey queried 19,000 residential customers served by the 125 largest utilities in the United States to determine the top 2014 Utility Trusted Brand and Customer Engagement rankings. It was the first study to include measurements for brand trust along with operational satisfaction and product experience to determine the best in the business.

To determine each Company’s score, Cogent combined customer ratings of 28 different metrics in six categories: concern for customers, company reputation, credibility, dedication, environmental performance, and community involvement. They then factored in measurements for operational satisfaction and product experience to calculate a single brand trust score for each utility.
