RG&E Announces “Summer Series” of Customer Service Pop-Up Events, Including the Juneteenth Festival in Rochester Saturday

Four more chances for customers to meet in-person with Company reps in the community

RG&E is a sponsor of Juneteenth event as it expands its outreach in the community


ROCHESTER, NY — June 15 — Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) announced today it is continuing its customer service pop-up events across the Rochester region with a “Summer Series,” giving customers the opportunity to meet in-person to address any concerns. The Company will host four events through the month of June and July, with more to come. 

RG&E will take part in the Greater Rochester Martin Luther King Jr. Commissions and 19th Ward Community Association’s Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 17. The Company’s customer service representatives will be set up on Court Street, in front of the entrance to the event. 

Representatives will answer questions and provide support to address customer needs. RG&E has already held six pop-up customer service events with its mobile command unit and partnered with community organizations for a total of 12 customer service pop ups since the beginning of the year. The program is designed to meet customers where they are, to help with their needs and will continue to evolve with customer and community stakeholder feedback. The Company will also be handing out energy efficiency materials at each event.

The address and schedule for events this month are below:

June 17 Juneteenth Festival, Court and Chestnut Streets, Rochester 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
June 21 Baden Street Settlement, Rochester 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
June 24 Sen. Cooney/Ark of the Covenant Church of God by Faith/Molena HealthCare Summer BBQ Kickoff, Jones Square Park, Rochester 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
July 26 Connected Communities, New City Cafe, Rochester

3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
