NYSEG and RG&E on Target to Complete Restoration to Remaining Customers Affected by Windstorm
500 NYSEG and RG&E Customers Remain Without Power

ROCHESTER, NY — April 7, 2018 — 12:45 p.m. NYSEG and RG&E, subsidiaries of AVANGRID (NYSE: AGR), have restored service to 130,000 customers throughout the state that were affected by winds of more than 70 miles per hour. As of noon, approximately 500 NYSEG and RG&E customers remain without power in Erie, Monroe, Wayne and Wyoming Counties. The Companies anticipate restoring service to these customers by 11:45 p.m. tonight, Saturday, April 7.

More than 1,000 line and tree workers are deployed specifically in the Companies' Lancaster and Rochester divisions to complete restoration work for these customers.

“We recognize the inconvenience that comes with the loss of electricity service for those customers without power,” said Patricia Nilsen, Director of Emergency Preparedness at AVANGRID. “Our work doesn't stop until every customer is reconnected and our system is fully inspected and repaired.”
