NYSEG AND RG&E EMPLOYEES GATHER GIFTS OF WARMTH FOR THOSE IN NEED
Rochester, NY – Building on a long tradition of giving, NYSEG and RG&E employees have completed the second annual Week of Warmth project. For the past several weeks, employees have gathered more than 3,000 winter hats, scarves or pairs of mittens/gloves that have been provided to 28 community agencies across the companies’ service areas for distribution to those in need.
“After beginning this project last year, our employees have again taken the initiative to let some of the less fortunate in our communities know that we are thinking of them,” said Mark S. Lynch, president and CEO of NYSEG and RG&E. “The results of this effort speak for themselves, and our employees deserve congratulations for their enthusiasm.”
Volunteer project coordinators across the state used contests and raffles to raise awareness of the effort and encourage employees to participate.
