Improve your energy efficiency by leveraging existing equipment.
Retrocommissioning (RCx) is a structured process led by a Technical Service Provider (TSP) designed to enhance the performance of existing building systems. It focuses on optimizing the operation of buildings and industrial facilities by identifying and implementing maintenance and operational improvements. The goal is to boost occupant comfort and system functionality while increasing energy efficiency, reducing consumption, and ensuring the long-term performance of the systems.
The RCx program offers commercial and industrial organizations customized energy solutions to help them significantly reduce their energy costs.
- Large Commercial RCx: Perfect for facilities over 100,000 sq. ft., this program focuses on in-depth system checks and adjustments to optimize HVAC and lighting performance.
- Express Building Tune-Up (EBTU): Ideal for facilities under 100,000 sq. ft., this solution delivers quick results by optimizing existing systems to boost productivity.
- Industrial Compressed Air: Best for facilities with over 75 HP of active compressed air.
- Industrial Process Cooling: Designed for facilities requiring 100 tons of process cooling.
- Industrial Refrigeration: Recommended for systems with over 100 tons of industrial refrigeration capacity.
Program Rebates & Incentives
Rebates: Participating in the Retrocommissioning (RCx) program provides significant energy and cost savings by optimizing energy use and reducing utility bills. These savings are further enhanced by rebates, which help offset the upfront costs of the RCx process.
Incentives: Incentives for the RCx program are provided directly to customers upon approval. The first incentive covers a portion of the study costs, with the exact percentage determined after the investigation phase. For Large Commercial and Industrial customers, a performance-based incentive of $0.02 per kWh of verified energy savings is available, paid after completion of the Measurement and Verification (M&V) report.
All participants are also eligible for increased incentives through the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) program.
