RG&E on Track to Restore Power to all Customers by 9 p.m.
Expects to Restore All Customers by 9 p.m. Saturday

Rochester, NY – RG&E, a subsidiary of Iberdrola USA, is in the homestretch of its power restoration efforts following yesterday’s damaging winds. As of 3:30 p.m. crews had restored power to more than 27,000 (98%) of the more than 28,000 customers who had lost power. Currently, approximately 700 customers in Monroe County are without power. RG&E expects to have all power restored by 9 p.m. tonight.

“Now that we are in the home stretch of this restoration, I’d like to thank our crews for the massive effort they put forth, under difficult conditions, to quickly and safely restore power to tens of thousands of our customers,” said Mark S. Lynch, president of NYSEG and RG&E. “On behalf of RG&E, I’d also like to thank local officials, law enforcement, and fire and highway department personnel for their assistance. Your help over the last few days made our job much easier.”
